CILSA entrega a Agility una nueva nave de 11.221 m² en la ZAL Port (Prat)

Agility Spain, the global leader in freight and logistics services in the world, and CILSA, the company that manages the ZAL of the Port of Barcelona, have completed the construction of 10,264 m² of warehouse and 957 m² of office that has been delivered to Agility. The warehouse achieves the highest criteria of energy efficiency and sustainability

Both companies signed an agreement on November 2018 for the turnkey construction of a new 11,221 m² logistics warehouse with LEED Gold Certification on plot 24.2 of the 15,883 m² ZAL Port (Prat) that would respond to the growth needs that Agility is experimenting for the past few years.

The delivery of this new warehouse is part of all the new construction projects that CILSA is currently developing and which add up a new surface in the ZAL Port of more than 270,000 logistic m², configuring a Logistics Park with more than 920,000 m² built of first level logistics warehouses once they are finished.

The new warehouse is equipped with the most modern technology for logistics activity, and its construction has followed the strictest criteria of energy efficiency and sustainability that the US Green Building Council's LEED GOLD dictates. The office block is adapted to allow full access for disabled people.

The warehouse has a free height under the installation's girder with 11.00 m free in the storage area, having made the envelope of the building using an insulated prefabricated sandwich panel and a Deck roof built on site.

The plot has 56 private parking spaces distributed in two areas and as equipment includes 25 loading docks with automatic sectional doors and outer shelters. The installation of fire protection is made with ESFR sprinklers according to NFPA and the anti-smoke system guarantees a medium risk level 5.

An integrated building management system has been implemented for the control that manages artificial lighting using dimmable low-power LEDs and natural lighting that exceeds 5% of skylight-free area. In addition, photovoltaic panels have been installed on the roof that will produce energy to achieve a peak self-consumption of 25 kw / h.

This new warehouse responds to the current and future growth of Agility Spain that is based on its ability to offer a full range of logistics, multimodal transport and distribution services for industrial, service and retail companies operating in our country. The company has 25,000 m² in Spain for storage and distribution, with flexible designs that improve the level of service and reduce costs for its customers. Agility Spain offers extensive experience in customs service with three customs warehouses and controlled temperature management and GDP certification for service to numerous pharmaceutical companies. They focus their logistics project in the renewable and engineering sectors, providing transportation management and turnkey projects for very complex, large-scale initiatives.
