The ZAL of the Port of Barcelona is building a logistic warehouse of 35,000 square meters for ALFIL LOGISTICS

THE ZAL OF THE PORT OF BARCELONA IS BUILDING A LOGISTIC WAREHOUSE OF 35,000 SQUARE METERS FOR ALFIL LOGÍSTICS

This new settlement with ALFIL LOGISTICS, client that is already installed in the ZAL Port (Prat) since 2007 on a plot of 167,312m2 and which has built 100,000 sqm, would be for CILSA a new impetus in its development strategy thanks to the commitment of one of the top leading logistics in the Iberian Peninsula relying on the management capacity of the CILSA team and consolidating again the ZAL Port as the ideal location for any type of logistics distribution in the southern region of Europe.

With the construction of these new 35,000 sqm that will be delivered in format for rent during 2019, ALFIL LOGISTICS will have a logistics HUB of more than 135,000 sqm of first quality warehouses, developed under the highest standards of sustainability, joining the construction aspects related to energy efficiency, use of alternative energy sources, improved indoor quality, water efficiency, the sustainable development of the clearances of the plot and the selection of materials, principles to which CILSA feels completely involved by its vocation focused in sustainable practices throughout its logistics platform for 25 years.

The warehouse will be equipped with the most modern technology, where ALFIL LOGISTICS will perform Contract Logistics activities and will extend of customs services, enhancing maritime, air and Railroad activity. This new logistics platform will result in the creation of 75 new jobs.

CILSA is investing in this project above 18 million euros. On this sense, Alfonso Martínez, CEO of CILSA highlighted that "the confidence shown by a client of the importance and relevance of ALFIL LOGISTICS to unify all of its operational logistics from ZAL Port, is a new professional challenge that makes us the main partner of logistic infrastructure of ALFIL LOGISTICS in the Peninsula and consolidates the ZAL Port as a logistic center of reference with 502,931 sqm of GLA built and managed by CILSA throughout the ZAL Port, this added to what was built by its clients consolidates a total 681,364 sqm park, having even a further capacity of new construction of additional 285,000 sqm”.

For its part, Jaume Bonavia, general director of ALFIL LOGISTICS has underlined “the strategic importance of the location, as well as the tune with all players of the environment”.
